Minutes of group discussion – Question 4

Date – 21 September 2011
  • If a product is not logged correctly, suspicion will fall on the person who handled the
  • products and this could lead to a loss of job and income
  • If equipment is not stored correctly and left where it was used last, it could lead to
  • injury of animals or people and could lead to loss of income
  • If faulty equipment is not reported and repaired it could lead to injury of animals or
  • people
  • If no record is being kept of new or used stock the budget will become irrelevant and
  • will lead to loss of income for the organization
  • All equipment, stock and materials should be stored correctly in case of emergency
  • where time is of the essence
  • Correctly label all products stored to prevent any misunderstanding
  • Always be aware of equipment, stock and material numbers to prevent loss or theft
  • If products are not labelled correctly it would be impossible to know when expiry dates
  • have been exceeded
  • Always store dry products in a cool, dry place to prevent pests such as beetles or mould
  • to damage it
  • Label products correctly to know the correct way of waste disposal
