On October the 27th the nature conservation students had the opportunity to visit the Elephants at the Zabula nature reserve.
The experience was far exceeding anything any of us had expected and we enjoyed it emensley. The amount we learnt is so far beyond anything you will find in a book or on the net.
Who knew that Elephants sense of smell goes way past that which we understand and to such a depth that they can actually smell cancer in people? At the same time that they can sniff out drugs 50 times more accurately than the dogs used by the police?
